Fraudsters collect personal data on sites with the Black Friday promotion

Roskomnadzor warned users about the appearance on the Internet of landing pages for cybercriminals who, under the guise of marketing sales as part of the Black Friday campaign, illegally collect personal data.

Criminals collect personal information, including name, phone number, mail address and bank details, for the purpose of its subsequent use to send spam or steal bank card data.

Experts recommend that users check the originality of the domain of an online store, since fraudsters register domains similar to this site in order to mislead the buyer, and also use logos of well-known brands participating in the action.

Users also need to check web pages for an SSL certificate. Pages with the input of personal data use SSL encryption “https: //”, so if the site of a large company starts with “http: //”, then there is reason to doubt its originality.
